CHARLES

              At the beginning story, there is a soon who started kindergarten school. At the first day, he didn’t learn anything. Actually, he always made disturbance on his naughtiness on his class. He also getting the punishment from his teacher, it caused by his naughtiness in the class. He was very obstinate.
              When he came to home after school, his parents always asked him how about his school in there, because this is the first kindergarten school of him. When his parents asked him, he always regarded coldly in every question from his parents. He began to told to his parents about what all was happen a long day on his class. He told that there was a naughty boy on his class. He mentioned that boy by pen name,’’Charles’’. Previously, his parents didn’t know who is naughty boy that.
              Almost everydays, he told to his parents about the naughty boy is on his class that. Gradually, that’s made his parents angered and want to meet the naughty boy as soon. Because, his parents worried if the naughty boy that can made bad influence for him.
              At the time, there was meeting for student’s parents at the kindergarten. In there, his parents began to investigate and hunting the information about who is the naughty boy like. When the meeting is on, there is no one student who calls the name "Charles", the name of naughty boy that. After meeting, his parents find a boy who had similarity on the attitude like him. His parents began anxious. And then, his parents meet the kindergarten’s teacher. At the same moment, his parents asked to the teacher of whomCharles”, the naughty boy who was. But, in the fact, the teacher admitted there is no one student named “Charles”. His parents was surprised automatically. At the same moment, his parents just be aware that the naugty boy named “Charles” has nothing, and the naughty boy who is told was none other than “Laurie”. All this time, Laurie told his naughtiness when in the classroom to his parent used by pen name, “Charles”.
THEME: Morality and Honesty
The evidence:
              “how was school today?...........; I didn’t learn nothing..... *(paragraph 3)
“the teacher spanked a boy, though” Laurie said,.... *(paragraph 3)
“Laurie thought, ‘it was Charles’ “.......*(paragraph 4)
“.....At the meeting I sat restlessly, scanning each comfortable matronly face, trying to determine which one hid the screet of Charles................; No one mentioned Charles.”
“ ’Charles?’ She said. We don’t have any Charles in the kindergarten”... *(the last pargraph)

SETTING:
Ø Setting of time
a)   In the morning,
evidence: “....... I watched him go off the first morning.....” *(paragraph 1)
b)   At lunch,
 evidence: “ At lunch he spoke insolently.....” *(paragraph 3)
c)    At night,
evidence: “.....Monday night was the first parent-teachers meeting, and only...........”
Ø Setting of place
a)   At the home,
evidence: “ ....and began wearing blue jeans with a belt.....” *(paragraph 1)
“.......I was waiting anxiously on the front steps”..... *(Paragraph 8)
b)   On the diningroom,
evidence: “.....but Laurie slid off his chair, took a cookie and left, while his...” *(Paragraph 5)
“At lunch ............................, Laurie said addressing his bread and butter ........., with his mouth ful...........” *(paragraph 3)
c)    In the classroom,
evidence: “ the third day........, and the teacher made him stay insife all during recess. Thursday Charles had to stand in a corner during story-time........... Friday, Charles eas deprived of black-board ............” *(paragraph 7)
d)   On the meeting room Kindergarten,
evidence: “ at the meeting I sat restlessly ..............; No one mentioned Charles.”
“After the meeting, I identified and sought out Laurie’s Kindergarten teacher”.
Ø Setting of atmosphere
a)   Surprised,
evidence: “ Good heavens.........mindful on the Lord’s name”... *(paragraph 5)
b)   Angered,
evidence: “ why did Charles hit the teacher ? I asked quickly”........ *(paragraph 5)
c)    Noisy,
evidence: “ because she tried ...............; so, he hit the teacher and she spanked him.......” *(paragraph 5)
“ the third day.............. Charles bounced a see-saw on to the head of a little girl and made her bleed,......... *( paragraph 5)
d)   Worried,
evidence: “ on Saturday........; Do you think kindergarten is too unsettling for Laurie....... Charles boy sound like such a bad influence” *(paragraph 7)
e)   Apprehensive,
evidence: “ we;re all so interested in Laurie.....” *(last paragraph)
f)     Flat expression,
 evidence: “ how was school today? I asked elaborately casual............. Laurie regarded his father Coldly”....... *( paragraph 3)

CHARACTER
Ø  Charles: flat character
Because he always made disturbance, noisy, and very naughty in the class in everyday.
Proof:
-  The first day, he got a trouble with his teacher
“ the teacher spanked him and made him stand in the corner”.... (paragraph 4)
-  The next day, he spanked the teacher
“ because she tried..........so, he hit the teacher...........” (paragraph 5)
Ø  Laurie: flat character
Because he always spoken by unhonesty to his parents about what all was happen to him in the class.
Proof: he used by pen name “Charles” to cover up his naughtiness and the troubles from his parents.
“ Charles? She said;........... we don’t have any Charles in the kindergarten”..... (last paragraph)
Ø  Laurie’s mother: round character
Previously, she always regarded by enthusiastic with what his son told. But she began angered and worried if her son get the bad influence at school.
Proof:
“ ‘good heavens’, I say mindful.........; why old Charles hit teacher? I asked quickly... (paragraph 5)
“on Saturday........., do you think kindergarten is too unsettling for Laurie?” (paragraph 7)
Ø  Laurie’s father: flat character
Because, he always calmdown and respected with what his son told.
Proof:
“ it’ll be alright; my husband said reassuringly”..... (paragraph 7)

MORAL VALUE:
1.    Don’t be lie!
2.    Spoken by honesty please
3.    Respect the person who spoken please
4.    Don’t be disturber
5.    Study by right

POWER OF VIEW:
The first person by using I that represented mother of son who the named Laurie, to told her son.
